On November 23rd of 2010 singular ultra-diagnostic laboratory of the Yerevan State Medical University was opened. The Laboratory is a part of the University’s medical laboratory-diagnostic centre and is located in the territory of the University Hospital Complex N1.

The Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge modern technologies and devices. These amenities allow the acquisition of about 100 accurate and unbiased diagnostic data in cardiovascular, hereditary, tumour and infectious diseases, also to identify various droplet respiratory infections, viruses, resistant strains, chronic conditions and systematic diseases. With the application of these technologies, about 300 patients are diagnosed daily. The laboratory has been technically enriched through the financial support of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC. The amount rendered by the Company has been used as a downpayment, while the rest will be wired by YSMU within 1.5 years. The devices functioning in the laboratory go as follows:

• DNA/RNA automatic turn-off device
• Real-Time PCR
• Centrifuge
• Programmable Rotator
• Hematological and human body biological liquids automated analyzer
• Immunological automated analyzer and biochemical automated analyzer

Since 2007 firm collaboration has been successfully initiated between YSMU and Electric Networks of Armenia resulting in putting into execution the new cogeneration energy center of the medical university. This is an exquisite system not only in Armenia but also in the region, having great importance in heating, conditioning and water supply of the whole University and clinical and hospital complexes within the University campus.

On October 22, 2009 concert of “Alliage Quintett” took place at the Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall, Opera House, Yerevan, Armenia. All the income from the charitable concert was transferred to the fund “For Life”. The fund expresses sincere gratitude to the “Alliage Quintett” ensemble for its significant contribution.
